Yet another update of WordPress was released today. This time you WILL notice a the changes. Just take a look at our before and after screenshots. Then take a look at your own Dashboard after the upgrade.

Responsive and Modern

Color themes have been added. You will have the option to change color schemes for your dashboard according to your user profile. Go to Users > Your Profile to select your colors. The admin area is also responsive now, making it easier to post from your iPad or mobile phone. So blog away from your morning commute.

Happy New Year 2014

The WordPress 3.8 update also includes the new Twenty Fourteen Theme. This theme is fully responsive as well and makes a great building platform for child themes. WordPress is moving in tandem with the current move away from the old ideology that WP is just a blog. WordPress is a full fledged CMS (content management system) for a multitude of different type of websites. WordPress finally has a demo for their theme available.

WordPress 3.8 Update – Parker

So who is Parker? A great American jazz saxophonist, also known as Yardbird. Parker is best known for his influence in developing Bebop, a fast jazz rhythm known for its improvisation. (August 29, 1920 – March 12, 1955). I like WordPress’ choice for update monikers!

As with any update, if you are doing it yourself, be sure to check compatibility with your plugins and look for an update of your theme shortly.
